Neptune Metering Pumps

Diaphragm metering Pumps from Neptune Chemical Pump Co., Inc. come with Neptune’s innovative design, quality workmanship, and long-term reliability. Click on the models to visit some of the common Diaphragm Metering Pumps. Call for custom configurations.

Metering Pumps – Series 500 “dia-Pump”

Neptune Hydraullically Actuated “dia-Pumps”

Variable Oil By-passT stroke adjustment allows better valve performance than variable linkage designs. The valve checks have extra time to seat even in heavy liquids, since they are idle during the by-pass portion of the suction and discharge strokes.

EZE-CLEANT Valves-Cartridges can be removed for cleaning without disturbing the piping to the pump. All Neptune “dia-Pumps” are adjustable from 10% through 100% of capacity by micrometer dial.

Neptune “dia-Pumps” are available in the following materials of construction:

  • Cast Iron with 316SS Trim
  • 316SS
  • PVC
  • Alloy 20
  • Kynar

Standard “dia-Pump” Simplex Only

  • Simplex capacities from 1 gph (3.7 lph) to 18 gph (68 lph)
  • Pressures to 1100 psi (77 kg/cm 2 )

Economy Liquid Head Simplex Only

  • Simplex capacities from 1 gph (3.7 lph) to 18 gph (68 lph)
  • Pressures to 1100 psi (77 kg/cm 2 )

The Original “dia-Pump” Available Simplex or Duplex

  • Simplex capacities from 0.2 gph (0.75 lph) to 80 gph (302 lph)
  • Pressures to 3000 psi (210 kg/cm 2 )

Metering Pumps – Electronic Stroke Control

The Neptune Electric Stroke Control allows the capacity of any Neptune Series 500 or Series 600 “dia-PUMP” to be automatically controlled in response to a standard 4-20 mA process signal. This also accepts 0-5 VDC/0-10 VDC signal or digital pulse train inputs. One-piece controller- positioner mounts directly to the pump. No machining or any special drillings or tappings needed to retrofit pump. It is ideal for water/wastewater, power and process industry applications: anywhere that pump flow must be automatically proportioned or varied.

  • Stroke position indicator on controller. (Also on optional remote control module.) Permits fast, easy visual check of pump stroke length.
  • Remote control unit (optional). Allows manual override and monitoring from remote location.
  • Switch reversible. Allows direct or indirect response to signal.
  • Separate signal and power entrance connections to terminal blocks.
  • Adjustable ratio. Great control flexibility.
  • Signal interruption “memory.” If process signal is lost, unit can remain in its last position or move to a preset position.
  • Adjustable travel time: 15 seconds minimum
  • Input signal optically isolated from the line voltage. Eliminates inexact positioning which could be caused by extraneous electrical interference.
  • Alarm function relay monitors: 1) movement to max/min preset limits; 2) movement to adjustable upper/lower limits. Gives early warning to malfunctions or process upsets, allows for quick corrective actions.

Metering Pumps – Low Volume Pumps

Special Application Pump

Neptune Model 481-S and 501-S hydraulic diaphragm metering pumps are built to deliver very low flows, repeatable and accurate ranging down to quarts per day. Discharge pressures are higher than possible with mechanical diaphragm pumps. Explosion-proof models are available for use in hazardous atmospheres.

These pumps are especially popular in oil/gas production, oil recovery and refineries. Typical applications include the injection of antifoam agents, corrosion inhibitors and other additives injected at very low volumes but high pressures. (Refer to curves on reverse side.) These pumps are also used for neat feeding of boiler chemicals.

Design Features/ Benefits

  • High discharge pressures, to 3000 psi (210 kg/cm 2 ) Exceeds limits of most small pumps, ideal for high pressure systems
  • EZE-CLEANT valves — Cartridges can be removed for cleaning without disturbing piping
  • Pneumatic and electric stroke-length control available — automatic capacity control in response to standard 4-20 mA process signal (variable speed drives may not be used with Models 481 or 501 due to low stroking speed)
  • Explosion-proof motors available — suitable for use in hazardous atmospheres
  • Low flow-rates-quarts/day — accurate, reliable chemical feed

Metering Pumps – Electronic Stroke Control

WATER SOFTENERS

ALAMO WATER SOFTENERS

Alamo Brand pre-engineered commercial water softeners are listed up to 1,200,000 grains of hardness removal at peak flow rates up to 600 gpm.

Operation of Softener: Removal of dissolved minerals in the form of Calcium, Magnesium, and Iron, is accomplished by the ion exchange process. As the dissolved minerals become attached to the resin and exhaust its ability to provide soft water, the system will automatically regenerate the resin using a brine solution from a separate (brine) tank.

Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic Tank: Most models use a non-corroding fiberglass wrapped Resin Tank with a one piece thermoplastic inner liner. The tank has a maximum working pressure of 150 psi and a working temperature up to 120∞F. The tank is listed by NSF, UL, and meets WQA Standard S-100, and FDA standards. Tank warranty is 5 years.

Polybond Lined Steel Tank: Some models feature our exclusive Polybond steel tank with carbon steel and inert nonleachable virgin polyethylene 30 mil in- terior lining. Exterior coating is 7 mil epoxy mastic enamel coating. The tank has a maximum working pressure of 100 psi and a working temperature up to 100∞F.

Epoxy Lined Steel Tank: Some models have epoxy lining and primed exterior.

Softening Media: The exchange media is a high quality strong acid cation resin in the sodium form with a very high whole bead count, no color throw, physically hard, and is chlorine resistant. The media combines high operating capacity with excellent chemical and physical stability for long dependable life.

Control Valve Selection: Some sequence control valves operate automatically on commands from a companion electro-mechanical controller. Valves are motor-driven and perform in the toughest applications. Other valves operate wth a companion electronic (microprocessor) controller. Some valves are Noryl Æ plastic and others are brass.

Choice of Controllers: Regeneration cycle can be initiated by time-clock or optional meter. The 5 cycle timer delivers a controlled upflow backwash, downflow brining and slow rinse, rapid rinse, brine refill, and downflow service.

BrineTank: The brine tank is a combination brine maker and salt storage vessel and is made of tough, high density polyethylene. Brine tanks feature a grid plate for maximum saturation of brine. Brine System: Brine refill is automatically controlled by the timer/controller, to provide the correct amount of brine for each regeneration. Float and safety valve shut-off prevent overflow. All units are equipped with an air check.

OIL WATER SEPARATORS

Walchem Accessories

NEMA HUB

Some of the most resourceful equipment comes in the simplest packages to accomplish some of the most complex tasks. That’s ENQUIP’s Gravity Flo Stop Valve. Only one moving part, scientifically engineered and tested under all types of conditions and applications, it gives you worry-free operation.

The Flo Stop Valve works automatically; no operator adjustments or maintenance is required.

APPLICATION

The Flo Stop Valve is a proven pollution control device. It can quickly and easily be applied to many applications and numerous configurations involving spill protection or liquid separation. The FloStop Valve prevents specified liquids from leaving a containment area or storage vessel. It’s that simple.

The Flo Stop Valve works with any type of atmospheric vessel where the release of a “heavy” liquid and retention of a “lighter” liquid is desirable. Storm drains, which may be subjected to possible contamination from hydrocarbons, can be retrofitted with the ENQUIP Gravity Flo Stop Valve, so no contaminates are released downstream.

OPERATION

To assure proper operation of the Flo Stop Valve, the specific gravities of any two immiscible liquids should have a minimum 2% (two percent) weight differential. The heavier phase flows unrestricted through the valve as the valve shut-off mechanism floats above the flow channels. The float is designed and weighted to the specific gravity of the lighter liquid. As the last of the heavy liquid passes through the valve, the float sinks and cuts off the flow through the valve thereby assuring retention of the lighter liquid.

ADVANTAGES

Gravity Flo Stop Valves are available in various retrofit configurations for ease of field installation. Its self-cleaning feature makes the unit almost maintenance free. And, because the unit opens and closes automatically, it is a true “hands off” valve for years of trouble-free operation. The Flo Stop Valve is an economical alternative to an oil monitoring system. It assures protection of the environment from contamination as well as prevents the loss of valuable product through human error.

The Flo Stop Valve installed in conjunction with water drain-off pipe in an above ground storage tank.

The Flo Stop Valve installed in a TSI Oil-Water Separator.

The Flo Stop Valve installed in a drainage outlet or catch basin as a containment device.

STATIC MIXERS

Koflo Static Mixers

For over 20 years, Koflo Corporation has focused on providing the highest quality static mixers at competitive prices. Koflo has the design expertise and in-house manufacturing capability to deliver an effective inline static mixer, time after time. Whether you are an engineer or purchasing agent, we speak your language.

The Koflo Process

  1. Division of main stream.
  2. Streams are forced to opposite outside walls.
  3. This causes a single direction mixing vortex axial to the centerline of the second element.
  4. Mixing vortex is sheared and Step 1 re-occurs, with the opposite directional rotation.

Clear PVC Static Mixers Series 308

In response to a growing need for a high quality mixer at a lower price, Koflo has developed the Series 308 Static Mixer. This unit is a clear PVC mixer, which unlike other mixers, allows for a visual inspection of the mixed product. All Series 308 mixers are made in standard 6 element and 12 element configurations. Additionally, all mixers are edge sealed to the inside of the housing. The advantages of edge sealing are twofold. Not only does edge sealing increase mixing efficiency, but this bonding method also increases the structural integrity of the entire mixer. All mixers come standard with male NPT threads. Sizes 3/8″ thru 2″ are in stock for immediate delivery.

One of the primary uses of the Series 308 mixer is in the dilution of polymers and flocculants. Therefore with proper blending, it is quite common to recover the cost of a mixer in a relatively short period of time. This is due to the lower chemical costs associated with better mixing.

Other mixing applications include

  • Admixing of water treatment chemicals
  • pH control
  • Chlorination and ozonation
  • Process control sampling

Stock Stainless Steel Static Mixers

The Stratos Tube Mixers come in various sizes and lengths depending on viscosity, and whether the liquids are similar or dissimilar.

Sludge Mixers Series 365

In the past, several industries have typically avoided the use of static mixers due to their tendency to plug or foul. In response to this problem, Koflo Corporation has developed a revolutionary static mixer that is void of pinch points or intersecting elements. The Series 365 sludge mixer is able to handle even the most fibrous slurries without plugging. Each mixer contains a series of alternating right and left hand elements, which blend the product stream with counter rotating vortices.

One of the primary uses of the Koflo sludge mixer is for sludge conditioning. Flocculants injected prior to the mixer are thoroughly blended with the waste stream prior to a filter press or other dewatering equipment. Substantial cost savings are realized when activated polymer is thoroughly blended with the waste stream. These savings can be up to 40% depending on the process.

Standard materials of construction for the Series 365 sludge mixer are PVC, carbon steel, and stainless steel. Other materials are available upon request. Sludge mixers are available with 150 lb. flanged ends or male NPT threads. Optional chemical injection ports can be supplied either flanged or threaded female NPT.
